DBC appoints Justin Casey as COO of Queens Wharf Brisbane

Taking out the title of highest rooftop bar in Brisbane, Cicada Blu is located 100 metres up on the Sky Deck—and the views are unmatched. Bonus, the sleek space also boasts panoramic river views, an expansive dancefloor and comfy lounges when you're ready to rehydrate with a cocktail or two. Of course that famed pho is on the menu, but we hear there are plenty of reasons to get reaquainted with the familiar spot, which is welcoming walk-ins only. The Star Grand Hotel is already welcoming guests, and other venues such as those along The Terrace and on the Sky Deck will open progressively throughout the following months. While not everything inside is open yet, plenty of public spaces and venues are, which means we can all finally get a peek inside the mammoth development. Whether you enter via the soaring Neville Bonner Bridge spanning the river in front of it, or through the stunning concourse from the CBD side, there's no doubt this is one of Brisbane's most impressive precincts—and we're only in the first stage of a multi-phase opening, with plenty more to come. This restaurant’s authentic South-East Asian menu shows an exciting culinary adventure. Taking casual all-day dining to the next level with its relaxed and warm atmosphere.... A luxurious oasis in the sky boasting three breathtaking heated pools that offer views over the Brisbane River... The Star Brisbane features The Star’s own 5-star hotel offering The Star Grand, and a contemporary 4.5-star hotel for business and leisure travellers, Dorsett Brisbane.
5 Your artwork must be clearly labelled on the back with your name and contact details. 8.4 Artworks will only be displayed at the absolute discretion of the RQAS & Queen’s Wharf Brisbane we will not display any artwork deemed unsafe, offensive, or unsuitable. This includes but is not limited to stretched canvas edges being painted in the round or in a solid colour. 8.2 Any artwork not clean or professionally finished will not be able to be placed on display. The Terrace on level four, The Casino on level 7 and of course the offerings on the Sky Deck. Perched 35 metres above street level, between the resort’s four towers, The Star Brisbane’s Leisure Deck is a 12,000sqm open-air oasis in the heart of Brisbane’s City. If your idea of a perfect getaway involves unwinding in ultimate luxury, The Star Grand Hotel is your dream destination. A set of escalators lead visitors to the high roller level. The casino has approval for 2,500 poker machines with about 1,500 machines currently in operation. The casino was first managed by Star Entertainment on behalf of the consortium.
But that's not all—three more hotels are planned for the precinct, with The Ritz-Carlton, the Dorsett and the Rosewood all set to bring serious luxury to the city. That's just the beginning though—once it's finally complete, Queen's Wharf Brisbane will be home to dozens of new cafes, bars and restaurants, three world-class hotels, luxury retailers, public spaces and of course, the New casino Brisbane casino, The Star Brisbane. When entering artwork into RQAS exhibitions, the artworks need to be presented and finished in a professional manner. Executive Chef Jake Nicolson is curating a menu of feeds that includes kampot peppered beef with betel leaf and lemongrass and Vietnamese-style baby goat yellow curry, while cocktails will be Asian-inspired and come with a side of theatrics. Spanning more than 12 hectares along Brisbane’s riverfront, Queen’s Wharf Brisbane includes hotels, gaming facilities, retail, dining and public spaces, and is considered one of Australia’s largest tourism and entertainment developments. We need this information to easily identify your artwork before the exhibition labels (didactics) and catalogue are printed for the exhibition. Damaged artworks/frames will not be able to be placed on display. A selection process will be conducted by a qualified selection panel which includes the exhibition judges. Please note that the Event Centre is not open to the public for viewing the artworks, however a date for a tour of the Showcase will be announced closer to the time. Artists are asked to submit artworks that reflect what makes Brisbane and its surrounding attractions unique. This is an open exhibition for all artists residing in Queensland. The open-air green spaces behind the massive precinct will provide areas for moonlight cinemas, pop-up markets and other outdoor events, with luxe shopping options onsite for when you win big at the casino. On the menu you'll find a list of botanical-imbued cocktails and bar snacks, perfect to get you through to dinner, or just help you destress from your work week. The Star's signature cocktail bar Cherry, companion to the Sydney and Gold Coast venues of the same name, has come our way, pouring creative cocktails in a stunning, sophisticated setting, perfect for post-dinner drinks and more. Cocktail lovers will be delighted by Cherry, a 360-degree bar boasting unparalleled views positioned inside the casino. Enjoy a bespoke menu and expertly crafted cocktails featuring Latin American spirits. Sitting 100 meters above the streets of the, Sky Deck offers breathtaking City views to pair with its three perfectly positioned venues.
